Great for all of the families involved. Player, Coaches, Cousins, etc. All schools in the DOC with the same schedule was a long time coming.

A full month off would be great for football. Most high-achievers work out on their own when the team is not formally working out, and they are the ones that carry their team to great performance. They will work out on vacation, etc. Good move by DOC and this will not hurt the Blue Colonels in football.

There are a lot of topics that end up in the football thread because of the popularity of it and for the most part shouldn't be there. But then 97% of the people would never see it.

I would like to see the KHSAA amend the dead period. I also like the 3 week period... If it ever happens, I hope they will look at a calendar each year and make the dead period from a Monday-Sunday like Cov. did. I hate the set dates that cut weeks up where you only get one full week typically.

I welcome this extra week with a passion, the diocese has severed spring break for families that want to leave town. It makes family vacations and high school sports/aau/select/etc... hard to coexist.
