BGP has educated me on the subject of ________?

Featured Replies

While we all have differing views, what topic do you have to give this site credit for educating you about?

I'll go with Catholicism. Not raised in church, cut my teeth in the Nazarene church, but not until my late 20's, I had no knowledge about the Catholic church to amount to anything. I credit rockmom, Bert, BF and mostly Mex for helping me learn about it.

What's yours?

BGP has educated me on the subject of...where to get a good meal. Those burger and other restaurant threads have been fantastic!

BGP has taught me that I'm not nearly as crazy as I once thought. I mean, I pee on two legs for Pete's sake.

Well done, might be a "like" from "someone" when he see's this. :thumb:

In addition to what RTS said, I would add weather & NKY basketball.

I love reading about movies that I might be interested in. But what I love even more is the random tidbits that some of our posters always seem to know about different movies. The best is when they will compare the movie to the book that I never read or give you additional information from the true story.

Main area that interests me is music and documentaries.

Crock pot recipies and Pizza joints!:ylsuper:

To be honest.....life.

I've grown a ton even though I joined around 32 years old. I definitely have become a better person as a result.

Anything religion or faith wise and understanding teams and players outside the area where I reside. I really do enjoy getting others perspectives.

That Kentucky basketball team only drops a game because of the refs, never because the other team was better.

BGP has taught me that no matter how hard life is, it could always be worse. There have been times I've been down in the dumps only to get on BGP and read a thread that puts things in perspective. In that same breath, I've learned that support doesn't always have to come from those close to you or even people you know personally.

Complete crap. There may be factions of the fan base that would give you that, but not here on BGP. By and large the BGP contingent of the BBN I have found to be pretty well balanced and objective.

Community...That a group of complete strangers, can become like a family. We celebrate together, we mourn and cry together, we support each other, we fight, we argue and at the end of the day we kinda love each other in our own way.
