January 22, 201412 yr While we all have differing views, what topic do you have to give this site credit for educating you about? I'll go with Catholicism. Not raised in church, cut my teeth in the Nazarene church, but not until my late 20's, I had no knowledge about the Catholic church to amount to anything. I credit rockmom, Bert, BF and mostly Mex for helping me learn about it. What's yours? Movies and music outside my normal parameters have brought the most enjoyment.
January 22, 201412 yr I don't know if I can narrow my answer down to one topic. I have learned that I don't know much at all about most topics and I used to think I was a lot smarter before I became a member of BGP, lol. No matter what you want to discuss, there is somebody on BGP who knows a lot more about it than I do. I'm thankful that I have this place to learn more. Any time a topic comes up that I am curious about, chances are it has been discussed on BGP and somebody on here is well versed in the issue, and willing to share. That is what I think the value of my BGP membership is measured in. I'm not just talking about facts and figures either. Yes, you can learn the black and white about just about any issue here on BGP. What I like about BGP goes beyond that. What we have here are people who can answer your questions, give you life experiences, and can back it up when challenged. You can't get that from a book, a blog, a newspaper or a radio or TV. It is the personal interraction that makes this medium unique, and it is the mutual respect, sometimes developed over many years of BGP friendship, that keeps our discussions civil and productive. And THAT is what separates BGP from other, similar discussion websites. It is a kinship to one another that I have struggled to try and describe to people who are not members.

January 22, 201412 yr Complete crap. There may be factions of the fan base that would give you that, but not here on BGP. By and large the BGP contingent of the BBN I have found to be pretty well balanced and objective. Ehh... I'd say it's about 50/50... I will say, though, that BGP is where I learned that not all UK fans are impossible to deal with. Just most of them.
