January 22, 201412 yr For me, the single item I've learned the most from BGP is precisely what I joined the site to be able to learn about....football outside of Northern Kentucky. However, I think another thing I've learned, or maybe more accurately "improved upon" is my ability to have a calm, friendly, and logical debate.

Please identify the 50% of the posters who said we lost "because of the refs, never because the other team was better than you" as NCF's put it. January 22, 201412 yr Motivation to keep more current on national and local events. It is too easy to be consumed by work, responsibilities, etc. and looking in on the discussion in BGP keeps me more informed, and helps me to understand better those that don't look at things the way I do. (they are wrong of course, but that is beside the point :lol2:).

It was based on the number of vocal UK fans on here being about half and half objective and not so much... At some point in time everybody is going to "blame" the refs for a loss their team takes. EVERYBODY has done it. I get that, it doesn't really bother me. But the "18%" on this board has definitely grown over the years, there is no denying that.

But the "18%" on this board has definitely grown over the years, there is no denying that. You will never see me blame the refs for anything. Drives me nuts when people cry about refs. Pet peeve. And I have never reffed a game in my life. And never will. I'd fight the first fan to run their mouth. :lol: I will blame Kevin Ware for making UL get swept up in enough emotion to ruin what should have been a fantastic Elite 8 game. :lol:

Read through those threads I posted on KY's losses this year. A vast majority of UK fans looked at those games through an objective lens, IMO. For the most part, they identified weaknesses, made informed analysis, etc. Every fanbase has a fringe, and there are UK fans on BGP who are unreasonable at times, but I don't see it as a high percentage, certainly not approaching 50%, and IMO not even 18%.
