January 15, 201412 yr Overall, I think it was one of UK's best played games of the year. They still had too many mistakes to get the win but I think they are getting better every game.
January 15, 201412 yr Easily the dumbest UK team I've seen in years. Easily.Incredibly talented, but as basketball savvy as a thumb tack. They are getting by alone on talent. What does that make now, all 4 losses by a combined 16 points? You can tell they have prime time players that make plays in big moments. I'm not going to lose it too much on missing the final block out. Seldom do you see anyone block out, especially on a buzzer beater. How that game ended is not going to define this team.
January 15, 201412 yr Hey, beats me too. UK's the only ranked team in the last two weeks to struggle at Arkansas. I think one could say Florida "struggled" in their win.
January 15, 201412 yr I'm not giving up hope on the season yet, look at Brandon Knight's year. But, I don't know how much longer I can keep the faith of a title run with all these dumb mistakes. Really makes me appreciate that 2012 team a little more. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I'd watch that title game again and go to bed happy. Oh well, it will feel good to watch them hopefully bounce back on Saturday. I'm out. Patience, patience ... I never get worried about a team until February arrives. If they aren't any better in February, then you can worry.

January 15, 201412 yr I'm not seeing the improvement that others are seeing with this team, but I have been impressed with Alex Poythress. He was outstanding tonight & I love seeing him attack the basket with ferocity.
January 15, 201412 yr Affirmed yet again tonight that Marcus Lee has no business on a basketball court this season. What did he do tonight besides miss rebounds, get pushed around, elbow a guy's neck, and clap?
January 15, 201412 yr I'm not even sure how to address the issue with the officials. I'm not blaming them for the loss by any means. That was the worst officiated game I've ever watched from both sides. I agree. It was bad both ways but Arkansas by far got the majority of the judgement calls. And they continually got bailed out on cheap fouls when they drove to the basket but UK got hammered all night long, especially Randle, and nothing called. UK definitely didn't help their own cause any by missing a ton of free throws, as usual, but the Razorbacks benifited from a friendly whistle tonight....enough to make a difference in the game.

Dumb over and back turnover (never stand on that side of the line); saving it under the basket (led to a foul and two FTs made); careless inbounds pass (Randle just tossed it in to the defender); no box out on the final shot (the picture above says it all) Can't win games like this with those kinds of mistakes in OT.

January 15, 201412 yr Just watched that dunk again on ESPN. The only way that could have been better would have been if that ball hit Harrison in the top of the head as it came through the net. This season rests squarely on the knucklehead Harrison twins. Those two need to shape up big time.
