Randle is a monster. Wow. WCS went awol. Horrible officiating. That's my takeaway. Cats will continue to improve. Would not want to play them come March.

That is about 15 more minutes than I thought he played. I am not as high on WCS as everyone else. He is incredibly skilled but also prone every other or every third game to be just out of it. I honestly didn't know Andrew Harrison played last night until he made that final three pointer to end regulation. Big time shot though.

Sorry MJ, but this team has zero chance at a title run. Dumbest UK team I've seen in years, like I've said for the past month and a half or so, this team reminds me so much like last year's it's scary.

 

The biggest difference is that they are a lot more talented. That saves them from embarrassing type losses. Last year the team lost by 12 in Arkansas. Oddly they are a great rebounding team (minus the final second last night) which is an off setter of sorts.

I am guessing the winners were able to overcome the bad officiating, while the losers could not.

You do realize that Arkansas had just as many fouls called on them, right? Difference is:

 

- Arkansas made their FT's

- didn't commit dumb turnovers

 

That's the difference in the game, not the officiating.

It's funny because wasn't it the Cleveland ST. Assistant coach who talked about how bad the officiating was at Rupp and he said it cost them the game, yet a lot of people on here defended the calls and what not? Same situation, home team often gets a few more calls just like the Cats do at Rupp.

UK held Arkansas to 2 FGs the final 11:00 of the game. They had to find a way to overcome but couldn't. It seemed like when they got tied they just froze and got nervous.

This team is starting to resemble the 2010-11 team.

 

I don't see it. I've said before that this team more resembles Team Turmoil/2001-02. That team is partially remembered for off-the-court issues, but I don't mean that. I'm referring to having a really talented roster that failed to deliver on the court.

I disagree, they make low basketball IQ mistakes. Just dumb mistakes. Lays up on out of bounds plays. Turnovers in bounding the ball.

The Harrisons often play as though they have the weight of the world on their shoulders, they just need to loosen up, smile every once in a while and play like they are having some fun. Pulling up and shooting the 10-12 footer over smaller defenders instead of taking it into traffic and hoping for a foul call might also help.

I agree with this one some level. UK was in full attack mode last night, but they are most lethal mid-range.

He was obviously bumped which caused him to go into the backcourt, but what was he thinking by trying to get the ball in that position on the floor.

Those are things you learn in grade school and this team continues to make similar mistakes.

Were the officials correct in flagrant 1 call on Lee that resulted in a 7 point trip for Arkansas? He did have his elbow high when trying to block out, although he did not swing it at all. Could they have called a flagrant foul on the Arkansas player as well for throwing Lee to the floor?
