Dinner: what did you have?

Featured Replies

Might not sound great but it was pretty delicious to me and a new random creation:

Grilled some brats, cut them up and put them over some pasta with some broccoli and just a sprinkle of Parmesan.

Had crockpot chicken-n-dumplings with mashed potatos and mixed vegetables. Awesome dinner.

Just put in the crock pot, venison steak, mushrooms and onions. Will fix mashed potatoes and roasted carrots to go with it for supper.

I fix that all the time. Sometimes add a can of cream of mushroom soup. Sometimes add a package of onion soup mix instead of the onions. I usually add some soy sauce and worchestershire sauce and some beef broth (instead of the soup).

Good stuff.

Yesterday I used the onion soup mix. Never tried adding the other sauces, I will try that next time.

Tonight for supper we are having potato/cheese soup topped with scallops wrapped in bacon. Egg and bacon salad panini's.

Braved the cold fired up the grill for steak, baked potatoe, & green beans.

I usually use an unscientific measurement of 2-1 soy/Worchestershire. If I put in 5 shakes of Worchestershire, then I put in 10 shakes of soy sauce. And a little beef broth (or a couple of bouillon cubes and a little water) completes it well as the venison doesn't have any fat.

The cream of mushroom soup though is really killer if you add that for your liquid. makes a nice thick gravy.

I have used the mushroom soup before and like it. Just thought I would use the dry onion soup yesterday with lots of mushrooms. I thicken it with cornstarch and water the last 10 minutes or so. Made a real nice gravy.
