Can't really be shocked to see the team Belmont win this one, even if they struggled to do so.

UK is not a Top 20 team. Say what you want but they can't shoot from the 3 or the line.

I liked that they didn't fold down the stretch but MANNNNN they played sloppy as hell today. You just can't play like that on the road against a team that has proven this season that they can rise to the occasion. Live and learn, or suffer the same type of defeat again in the not so distant future.

UK needs a leader. Who will emerge?

Let's remember that North Carolina was without two of their best players.

 

I'm not impressed by Randle. He gets lost on defense, everyone in the gym knows what he's going to try to do according to where he catches the ball, and I cringe when people try to compare his motor to MKG (you know, a guy who took getting scored on personally).

 

The Harrisons are starting to play better but still have such a long way to go when it comes to being leaders. Grow up and show some better body language or NBA scouts aren't going to be as high on you.

 

Poythress is in the middle of the first group and the ones I'll name below them. Good kid and seems like he's got potential, but makes you want to throw things too.

 

I really like James Young. Willie is fine, great at what he does, but just raw offensively. I'm a fan of Hawkins, but we're hurting if he's going to be a key cog as a freshman. Otherwise, I don't know what to say about the team.

I'm gonna rave about couple things.

 

1. Refs were horrible...Calling little touch fouls on Kentucky and letting Carolina get away with pushing and shoving Kentucky players to the floor, 3 times.

 

2. Kentucky is horrible at free throw shooting....Cal needs to have practice just for shooting free throws...I've seen high schools that shoot better free throws

 

3. I'll be glad once Cal stops all this nonsense with these ones and dones...they are killing Kentucky basketball....Only reason why Kentucky won the national title couple years ago was because they had leadership on that team, this year they don't and probably won't have it as long as Cal is here and we probably won't win another national title. Kentucky needs to a be a program first school instead of a player first....If Cal continues with these ones and done's then I think it's time for him to go.

I opted to drive 50 minutes to watch two high school teams play. It's not even Christmas and I have had it with this team.

Turnovers and free throws. Extremely low basketball IQ with most of these guys. Nice to see the Harrison twins play well but that's about it.

Bah humbug.

Right now- they are a terrible team the frustrating part is that you see the flashes.

 

The team needs to empower someone to lead them- no floor general means you are relying solely on coaches to hold players accountable, IMO. you need someone on the floor to get in a guys face when they miss their rotations on defense, or don't get a body on an offensive rebounder or make a lazy entry pass.

 

They make a lot of mistakes that young teams make- we need to mature, FAST!
