They don't get players to stay. They stay because they are not projected to go in the 1st round. Do you want Cal to not recruit any players that might be a 1 and done?

I'd say there's more behind the scenes then what we know. They may not be anything happening behind the scenes but their has been a lot of good players to come through college that was NBA good that stayed at their school(s) more than a year.

I just think that if Kentucky wants National Titles then they are gonna have to get players to stay there more than a year in order to get good LEADERSHIP on a team. That's all I'm trying to say.

Do you realize how hard it is to win the National Title? We are not going to win it every year, but to be competitive you have to go out and get the best players you can. That is what ALL the coaches try and do. Cal has been the best at getting the best players. You want that to change? Do you really want a kid to stay that is going to be a high draft pick? Coach Cal has stated he doesn't like the one and done rule, but it is what it is and has embraced it. Lots of other coaches are now too. That is just the way the game has involved.

Not in the recent years, especially since the NBA put their new restrictions in place. Prior to that, the players who went to college first were not good enough to get drafted right out of high school.

Not now they don't. It's not just Cal. Time to get over whatever has made you upset.

Both Poythress and WCS were projected first round and they stayed. Lamb and Jones both stayed.

Teague was thought to stay and decided to leave.

Players play and they leave, it's the system not Cal.

I think they said Randle is the only player in the nation averaging 17pts and 12 rebounds. Not sure what else you could expect. Clearly he didn't play his best today but for the season is doing very good. The cats are just young and immature. The Christmas break will help big time, imo.

So we apparently expect these freshman to come in an all average 30 a game. No wonder they are a "little overhyped". He had a bad game, it happens. He's been everything I expected him to be this year

 agree

Before the season started name one coach who wouldn't have taken these UK freshmen.

He has 1 championship with a team that had LEADERSHIP, this team does not have LEADERSHIP. I'm saying in order to get LEADERSHIP on a team that team is gonna have to have players there for 2-3 years.

So being older makes year a leader? Well why didn't you say so before, get Polson some more playing time.

If only we would aim as high as OSU.

No response usually keeps that ridiculousness to a minimum.

I know it's hard, it's not a cake walk but to win national titles your gonna have to have more then just freshmen. Yes they are good but do they have enough to win a national title by themselves? I don't think so but it's JMO

That would be nice. I think Polson and Hood both need more playing time.

Do you want to play in the NIT again? I like Polson and Hood and they seem like nice kids but they aren't elite level college players.

I'm talking about if UK is up 30 or so then they should be brought into get some playing time. They do get a little playing time but what? The last 2-3 minutes? If your (UK) blowing out an opponent their isn't no reason for them not to come in with about 5-6 minutes to go.
