I do think Randle has been a little overhyped as far as what I thought he would be doing at this point in the year.

 

I think it's a case of not being bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic than everyone any more. Being left handed is a huge advantage, but he's pretty one handed with the ball, especially when he tries to spin (which he uses the same spin move too often).

 

With all of that said, maybe my expectations for Randle coming into the year were far too high.

 

Coach Cal stated in his post game that Julius was probably to excited for this game. This happens. I also feel when he got his second foul, that really effected his play. Again goes back to individual and not team play. They will get it, it just takes some players longer than others.

Maybe the problem is Coach Cal. He's a great recruiter and salesman but not a great X&O's guy. This year is already a disappointment. Sorry folks, their not going 40-0 like some stated in another thread. They haven't beaten anyone. Underachievers!

Arizona has good players, their ranked #1....Oklahoma State has the best player in the nation in Marcus Smart they're ranked in the top 10 (If I'm not mistaken). Ohio State has good players they're ranked 3rd. What do all those teams have in common? THEY ALL HAVE LEADERSHIP WITH PLAYERS THAT HAVE BEEN THERE 2-3 YEARS. Kentucky has ones and done's. Cal also made it clear when he first got here that he wasn't worried about national titles, he's more worried about getting players to the NBA. I love UK and a big UK fan but as bad as I hate to say it, I don't see UK winning another national title with these one and done's unless he gets some players to stay 2-3 years like we did with Miller and all them.

 

I'll stand by my comments, If he continues to get these one's and done's then I think it's time for him to go.

Tubby left on his own was what I was always heard anyways.

 

Billy G, wasn't the right fit for UK. Getting drunk and getting busted over in Anderson County is what done him in.

 

Cal has done good things here but all he wants is one's and done's. If it wasn't he would still get the best players and get them to stay longer than a year.

I think they said Randle is the only player in the nation averaging 17pts and 12 rebounds. Not sure what else you could expect. Clearly he didn't play his best today but for the season is doing very good. The cats are just young and immature. The Christmas break will help big time, imo.

Didn't think they would go 40-0. My son and I talked about it and could possibly see these 3 losses, and I am sure we will see more before the season is over. I don't like to lose, but I still think we will be right in the hunt come March.

Finally someone that agrees with me....:lol2: Agree on Julius. All players will have some games that aren't as productive, but overall I wouldn't trade Julius for anyone.

He has a championship. He ended a 13 year drought. He also ended the Final Four drought the year before.

 

All players want to jump to the NBA if they could. Tubby recruited 4 year players and it didn't please the blue bloods. Cal recruits the best players and gets ridiculed for it.

 

I want the best players and if they leave after a year then congrats to them for earning a living.

They are 19 and 20 year old kids ,all dream of the NBA and the millions . I am 45 with 4 years of elgibility left and love KY basketball and bleed blue but let him recruit me and give me a shpt and 1 and one I ll take the money . Don't like mu chances tho but I would take the money run .Remember Rodney Dents knee injury possibly cost him millions .

You really think he would stop them from going after a year? No coach is going to keep a player from going if the player is projected in the first round.
