December 15, 201312 yr Author You didn't answer my question. I asked who on UK's team would you not have recruited? I probably would have recruited them but I wouldn't have told them "Hey come to Kentucky and I can get you into the NBA after your freshmen year"
December 15, 201312 yr Author Embiid, they have 2 guys projected in the top 5 of this draft. Never heard of him.
December 15, 201312 yr I probably would have recruited them but I wouldn't have told them "Hey come to Kentucky and I can get you into the NBA after your freshmen year" This is NOT what he tells them. He does tell them, you work hard I will help you be the best player you can be. I have never heard he say "after your freshmen year". Where id you get that from???

Where id you get that from??? Are you with him when he goes and recruits? He's bound to tell them something about getting to the NBA...Every time UK goes to recruit a player, all the analyst wanna talk about is that player that Cal is recruiting is a one and done... I would bet almost anything that UK doesn't win a national title this year. Don't get me wrong they are good players BUT they are still one's and done's. JMO I don't think UK will win another national title until they get players to start staying 2-3 years and get some LEADERSHIP on that team, what ever year that may be.
December 15, 201312 yr This is a concern for Cal too. This is what he had to say after the game about it: Cal: "What we have now is…we’re not a good basketball team. Because all of our emotion is based on individual play." He went on to say that his 2011 team had the same problem, gelled in Jan and went to final 4. Thought he had the best team, but U-Con had the best player. Good deal. Being down here, I don't get much of the same post-game coverage that you all do at home, so it's kind of hard to stay in the loop. I miss some of the games against lesser opponents because of network coverage, etc. as well.

I would bet almost anything that UK doesn't win a national title this year. I'll bet anything that there'll be a really good team, whether it be Arizona, Michigan State, a full UNC, Kentucky, etc. that won't win a national title this year. One team per year gets to do that and it's kind of unfair to use that as a standard. Now, if we go to two straight NIT's, that'll be a different story, but I don't think it's going to be like that.
December 15, 201312 yr This could have been uglier between all of UNC's missed free throws and having the players out that were.

December 15, 201312 yr Never heard of him. So you've never heard one of the best players in the nation but we should take your recruiting advice over Cal's? OK then...

I know that only one team will win the national title. I think it will be a team besides Kentucky. If Kentucky makes it to the NCAA, which I think they will, I don't think they make it to the Sweet 16 then out. If they make it to the final four then I will be one very surprised fan.
December 15, 201312 yr Author :lol2: Are you with him?? I read alot and have NEVER heard Cal say that. Nope. I just think he tells them more then what he lets on. He isn't gonna come out and say what he tells recruits. So you've never heard one of the best players in the nation but we should take your recruiting advice over Cal's? OK then... Please show me where I said take my recruiting advice over Cal's? I said If he continues with all these one's and done's then I think he should go somewhere else. Kentucky needs to be a school first program not a player first program.
December 15, 201312 yr I do think Randle has been a little overhyped as far as what I thought he would be doing at this point in the year. I think it's a case of not being bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic than everyone any more. Being left handed is a huge advantage, but he's pretty one handed with the ball, especially when he tries to spin (which he uses the same spin move too often). With all of that said, maybe my expectations for Randle coming into the year were far too high.
December 15, 201312 yr Author NBADraft.net #3 projection. Thanks for sharing. I swear I've never heard of him. Probably where he came from is the reason why. Never heard nothing about it on Sports Center or any other sports channel.
