Who will be the next head coach at Highlands?

Featured Replies

Does anyone feel like this job may end up being a case of don't follow the legend....follow the guy who followed the legend?

PP he is rumored to be close at Madison Central but if he gets call at FTH he'd be crazy not to take it.

Agreed. I'd like to see him end up there or LexCath to be honest. Nothing against MadCentral, the other schools are closer to me(in 4A) allowing me to follow him better.

There isn't a new coach yet, but Brian is a Highlands Alum. He played on the 1989 state championship team. He is along time asst. and the heir apparent for sometime. He is respected as a coach and a teacher. My perception is he is much quieter and a less over the top personality than Dale, but the job is not bigger than him. I believe he will do well. The transition will be smooth.

I will be interested to see if he stays on the defensive side of the ball and what changes he will make.[/quote

Not to mention played college ball at Campbellsville.

I was going to go there, but I wasn't 100% sure. That would mean he played alongside his 89 classmate and current Male head coach Chris Wolf.

The two coaches have actually been listed as co-head coach for a couple years now. Unless something drastic happens or they just don't feel he is the right guy (even after all the guidence), I can't see anyone else getting it. I do think they would hire an offensive coorinator. But I too would like to see the head coaching job open up just to see what happens.

There is a process for the hiring. I would expect BW to be the front runner and I'm sure he will get it but it will be very interesting to see what names surface.....IMO!

I'm selfish. I'd love to see Chuck Smith in action at a program that is ready for him from day one. I see it is not likely going to happen at Highlands for him but I'd love to see what happens.

Tonight, I'm probably going to have a weird dream about Dudley Hilton getting the job.

He should apply. Highalnds needs a solid LB coach. :D

I am sure there would be plenty of outside interest, with that being said my son absolutely thinks the world of Brian as a teacher and as an individual. He has been the assistant head coach and has learned from a legend. IMHO he will be and should be the next head coach. It might be interesting in reference to the rest of the staff.

I'm going to toss my name in as a candidate, I garuntee you an avg scoring offense of 70 pts a game.

Ouch...... touche.

I wish I had a good Chuck Smith joke right about now but that made me draw a blank.

Not sure but I think he only played 1 yr at Campbellsville and transferred to NKU to finish. I remember him in one of my classes at NKU.

They probably could have used his help with LBs vs. Collins on Saturday.

BOOM goes the dynamite!
