December 10, 201312 yr Gentlemen, please return your man cards! Enjoy your next viewing of Twilight! :lol2: Papa's the Twilight fan.
December 10, 201312 yr I hate shopping. Not with my kids. Not with my spouse. Not by myself. Not with a mouse. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like to shop, Sam I Am.
December 11, 201312 yr I never shop "with" my wife. We get to the mall in the same car, that's where it ends. We go our separate ways as soon as we enter and it's all good. I get what I need, she spends hours looking at things she likes. If she's taking longer than I'd like, I find a place to have a beer. It's really not a big deal to me...
December 11, 201312 yr Took Mrs. TAC Krogering the other week. She stops in the front of the store, digs for her cheaters, starts looking at coupons and than gives me directions to go in search of particular brands. Nope! Homey don't play that game! Put some K-cups in the cart and she had to make sure I had the right combination that matched the coupons. It wasn't a pretty day. Last year, she took me clothes shopping around Christmas time. I spent over an hour in the dressing room as she threw crap over the door for me to try on. After that fiasco, there was additional Christmas shopping to be done. I removed myself from further anguish and headed over to Olive Garden to have a drink and watch a little football. "Call me when you are ready to leave". If we're out and my wife says she "just needs a few things from Kroger" I go in with her or it's a LOT of things. I usually don't go through.
December 11, 201312 yr :lol2: Papa's the Twilight fan. OK, Titanic will suffice then for you girly-men.
December 11, 201312 yr Please! Sometimes you have to have some give and take. I make here get bleacher butt watching basketball games when we have no earthly relatives playing, so I figure it's quid pro quo. We do "date day" every Sunday. It oftens involves a Sam's stop or some random store and that is fine. The couponing is what got me. Plus clothes shopping bites hard! Mrs. TAC mostly will only go to our kids games. I get the green light to take in as many games as I care to.
December 11, 201312 yr The last thing I want to do is "got to the mall" with my girlfriend. Hate the place.
December 11, 201312 yr I will do almost anything to not shop with her. When I do I take my Kindle and just find a place to read. I am to the point where I don't even ask what she buys. She is going to take 1/2 of it back anyway (another thing I don't understand). It is just best to let her do her thing.
December 11, 201312 yr When going into a store, my wife "shops". I, on the other hand, "buy". There's a difference.
December 11, 201312 yr Went to a psychic as a lark back in college and she tells us that we have been together in many other lives but that our genders are switched this time. Laughed it off, of course, but it haunts me every once in a blue moon and this thread topic would be one of those times. Hubby LOVES to shop, not for clothes, but he can make a day out of the grocery or Sam's or (now) Findlay Market. I hate shopping in every form and will get everything on the list while he explores. Before cell phones, we had a signal (if you were ever at Kroger and heard owl's hoot-hooting, that was us) for when I was done and we would meet at the register, me with the essentials, him with his treasures. Everybody's happy. My only exception is the office supply type stores - I get positively giddy at back-to-school time! Neither one of us has been in a mall for years except for a run in to the Lego store at Kenwood.
December 11, 201312 yr Maybe I'm a freako but I like shopping with my wife. I'm pretty much with you on this. For the most part, I'm not at all bothered to shop with my better half. .....

December 12, 201312 yr If I HAVE to go, I try to keep my wife moving along. If I get aggravated with the amount of time she's taking, I go to the car. I'm prepared with my Sirius to listen to sports and/or watch them on my phone. I then communicate with her via cell. However, word to wise, I make sure her cell is fully charged and I see her physically put it in that abyss called a purse. Edited December 12, 201312 yr by OlDog75
December 12, 201312 yr ..... You youngbloods need to understand how the game works. Give and take brother. She never says a word about my $10K plus in fishing equipment, and that's just what is IN the boat.
