December 12, 201312 yr I listen to audio books on my ipod when mall shopping with Mrs. S. I can look interested and not be paying attention at the same time. And I don't mind the walking, since I need the exercise. When she gets loose on QVC, is when I get scared. BTW, Mrs. S loves sports, especially football.
December 13, 201312 yr You youngbloods need to understand how the game works. Give and take brother. She never says a word about my $10K plus in fishing equipment, and that's just what is IN the boat. As long as mine has her coffee, I can pretty much get away with murder.
December 13, 201312 yr :lol2: Papa's the Twilight fan. Always vacillating between Team Edward and Team Jacob.
December 13, 201312 yr Went to a psychic as a lark back in college and she tells us that we have been together in many other lives but that our genders are switched this time. Laughed it off, of course, but it haunts me every once in a blue moon and this thread topic would be one of those times. Hubby LOVES to shop, not for clothes, but he can make a day out of the grocery or Sam's or (now) Findlay Market. I hate shopping in every form and will get everything on the list while he explores. Before cell phones, we had a signal (if you were ever at Kroger and heard owl's hoot-hooting, that was us) for when I was done and we would meet at the register, me with the essentials, him with his treasures. Everybody's happy. My only exception is the office supply type stores - I get positively giddy at back-to-school time! Neither one of us has been in a mall for years except for a run in to the Lego store at Kenwood. I told my wife that it was a mating call of some sort...
December 13, 201312 yr I'm not married and there are several good reasons for that... ...but I hate shopping and I can only imagine how I come off to anyone shopping with me as I think about whether committing ritual seppuku in the middle of the fountain outside Dillard's sends a sufficient message to everyone else in that wing of mall.
December 13, 201312 yr ..... What people do behind closed doors is their business and their business only.

December 13, 201312 yr I'm not married and there are several good reasons for that... What are their names?
December 13, 201312 yr What are their names? :lol2: You know, I laugh, but I might have said the meanest thing I've ever said to the guy I consider my closest friend in the world just yesterday. I was talking to him about his ex-wife and his current wife and he said something along the lines of "You're not even married but you are wise beyond your station," to which I replied "Watching you over the years has made me feel pretty good about my own choice not to dive on in." I thought he was going to deck me right in the mouth; I'd have deserved it.

December 13, 201312 yr I just found one that does crazier crap than me. That way devoting an entire spare bedroom to racing gear seems like a GOOD idea.
