Pretty big gap between 3 and 4.

How about Buckeyes and Seminoles lose this week and have a rematch of Auburn/Alabama for the title.

Duke couldn't beat Florida State even if the Seminoles left half their team in Tallahassee.

I wouldn't be fully convinced yet

BCS expert Brad Edwards says it is still possible for AU to overtake OSU even if OSU wins. It will be interesting.

If I read this correctly, this means if Auburn, OSU and FSU all win, Auburn could face FSU for all the marbles. However, if Missouri, OSU and FSU all win, it'll be the latter two teams in the championship game. Auburn maybe, Missouri no -- unless OSU or FSU gets upset.

Question:

If UofL takes care of business against UC this weekend, we will likely end up in the Russel Athletic Bowl. It is my understanding that we will most likely get a team from the ACC in that game. So, will Clemson get an invite to a BCS game? And if yes, does that leave UofL facing off against Duke?

Just wondering.

So Alabama is out of the title picture?

Not if Ohio State and Florida State lose...unlikely, but it was also unlikely that Oklahoma State would lose to Iowa State a few years ago.

ThrillVille, I doubt Clemson gets a bid after their loss to So. Carolina. That puts them in line to face an SEC team in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. That leaves the third choice to the Russell. Seems like Duke.

If Louisville manages to somehow remember what efficient offense looks like and not allow UC to run back three kickoff returns, then Louisville to the Russell to meet them.

Thanks!

I say this as a guy without much of a rooting interest outside of just wanting to see good games: I can't take seriously the notion that a 1-loss SEC champion shouldn't be in the title game. I guess I'll watch OSU against FSU, but they might as well emblazon "Weak Sauce Championship" into the crystal trophy since they skated into it without proving it against an Alabama or an Auburn. Even Missouri would cast some legitimacy on that game.

A playoff, even the minuscule one set to begin soon, can't get here quickly enough.

College Gameday has choosen the OSU/MSU game, how bout them apples?

Does anyone think Michigan St. can beat OSU?

They can but they won't.

It will be an embarrassment to college football is OSU gets into the title game. They aren't even one of the top 4 teams in the nation.

UC will likely win which sends Louisville to the Pinstripe Bowl I think. Is that correct?

^ I can never remember. I thought that the Belk Bowl in Charlotte had the third pick from among the AAC teams.
