Broncos -28 versus Jags this week

Featured Replies

Could be the largest point spread in NFL history if it stays that way.

Normally, I'd say the NFL is all about parity, so I'd take the underdogs and the points. But this year, with these two teams...it might be 28 points by halftime.

I'd take the Broncos if the spread was -35.

Crazy. I heard it was the largest ever.

They scored 49 on the Ravens and everybody else. They will score at least that many against the Jags. The Jags have scored 51 points this year. Do the Math. Henne will not make a difference. He's a servicable backup.

On ESPN Radio today someone suggested that they sit Peyton and play Brock Osweiler, since even with Osweiler the Broncos are sure to win.

I think that's crazy, but it's not quite as crazy a thought as you'd think.

........

I'm not a sports gambler, but I wouldn't touch this game with a yard stick.

Why?

Why?

To big of a spread. TD for Jags against Denver's back ups and they cover the spread.

Why?

That is an enormous amount of points. Who knows how motivated Fox is to leave Peyton and the key starters out there. The planet thinks the Broncos are a lock, and as we know, the masses are asses in gambling.

Could they beat them by 30? Sure....50+ I'm sure. Will they? Do they need to? Who knows.

Too many points for a pro game. I would say Manning plays

the 1st half and then it's 2nd team from then on. They could for sure

cover this spread but why risk injuries to a potential super bowl team.

I don't know anything about managing a football team, but I would think they are going to want Manning to play and throw 4-5 TD's before they take him out. I'd imagine that they would want him to break the TD record if possible because of the marketing possibilities.

Manning and the Broncos could EASILY be up four or five touchdowns at half. I don't think it's ridiculous at all to take the Broncos to cover.

Peyton doesn't even care for giving his back-up practice reps, so if nothing else, I don't see it happening because of that.

I can see them letting Peyton get them a 24-28 point lead, then giving him a quick hook to rest, especially if he's dinged up though.
