How about a trip to Cleveland in December to visit the Parker house from A Christmas Story?

I'm pretty sure Randy lives in "the Region" up in northwest Indiana. Hammond/Griffin area.

Remember when Mrs. Parker told Mr. Parker, "The Bears are playing Green Bay this weekend."

I love BGP because without it, Lawnboy13 probably would not have ever met the BigVMan and his life is now soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more fulfilled having done so, and I'm just so happy I have a forum in which I can have that kind of influence.

The Cheers reference earlier in this thread was perfect, IMO.

Logging in on a daily basis, you see the same people (whom most have never met) and they become a virtual "family". I've grown to, at least I think I have, understand the personalities and interests of many posters to the point that I feel I have a good idea what certain posters said before I even read it. I go to the Baseball forum and there's Crash and VOR defending Dusty Baker in the Reds threads, over in Pro Football we have the old married couple (Hellbird and FC) fighting about the Bengals and HB20 defending any and all things Giants related. In Controversial Issues, you can always count on Mtn Ref for some out there (yet interesting and thought provoking) ideas/topics. In General Discussion/Politics/Religion, you've got Clyde providing level-headed insight, and Randy and Getslow furthering their feud (you really need to convince Ralphie to join already). Lastly, we've got PP92 and HT in the NBA forum trying to convince (inaccurately, I might add) anyone who'll listen just how great Kobe is.

Point is, this is a virtual "Cheers", but it's not the site, it's the posters. It really wouldn't be the same without any of them (us). They're what make this place awesome, why I love BGP.

Kobe is the overall greatest player during his time of play. From 1996 on there hasn't been a better player on the planet.

And then everybody converges on the high school thread of the season defending and discussing the doings of their favorite teams. I joined BGP for high school football, but have found "family" in many of the other discussions.
