I have a feeling that Newman will end up at LSU next year. I'm not a recruiting guru but by just reading different sites and seeing various comments in kind of looks that way.

If their two bigs don't go pro they will be scary good. I saw Newman play in a high school TV game and he is ultra impressive. Add him to that team, plus Simmons and their other recruits, and the Tigers are a top 5 team, maybe even better.

Would love to have an athlete like Newman but if Andrew and Tyler come back I'd be perfectly fine with that also.

PG. Briscoe and Ulis will be the backcourt next year. Cats need a scoring 2 guard.

 

If Newman doesn't want to fill that need and wants to go to LSU Cal will just have Ulis in his jock strap next year. :wave:

A couple prospects such as Caleb Swanigan (all signs point to California) are announcing at the Nike Hoop Summit this weekend. In the next month or so, we will see all of the decisions. Ivan Rabb might choose this weekend but he just cut his list to Arizona and California (think he is going to Cal too).

 

Remember, Tai Wynyard (2016 UK commit) could come in, in December and play starting in January if we need him to.

 

We weren't in much contact with Thomas Bryant but he could have easily committed here instead of Indiana if we had. That leads me to believe that we are in a good spot with post players.

 

Coach Cal is meeting with Brandon Ingram today or tomorrow. I really like him and think we have a better chance than most think.

Jaylen Brown is down to Michigan, UNC, UK, Kansas, UCLA, California, Georgia, Georgia Tech. Georgia and Georgia Tech don't really have much of a chance and he is really being courteous by putting them there IMO.
