On BGP, no question, you can comment on anything you want, and you are entitled to your opinion just the same as anyone. You have stated what you would do and how you would handle the situation, and I am not going to tell you you are wrong for it.

 

My objection was to your comment ridiculing Wireman and sarcastically saying his kid should be ashamed of him. That was unwarranted, IMO, and as a young non-parent it is my opinion you haven't yet earned the right to lecture him that way.

We all like to think our kids would make the appropriate decisions. 13/14/15 age area is very impressionable for you boys. Bad decisions are easily made by especially boys in the presence of other boys and an influential (possibly attractive) older women offering alcohol.

Like in the Coaching thread this thread is related to, the Boone County Board of Education will need to do a full investigation and see where the investigation leads them. It is a fine line between some kids having/hiding alcohol and getting drunk, and a parent(s) being complicit.

 

Finally, this alleged incident and the Boone coaching thread are completely separate issues and no matter what is discovered neither should have an affect on the other.

I was told about this "party" early last week and there is much more to the story. Besides teenagers being drunk........moms & dads were a little "tipsie" as well, according to my source.

Lawnboy I heard the same thing from someone in the Boone County school system. This has the potential to turn ugly. Also has the potential to take anything being said about the baksetball coaches and pretty much end it.

Incidents, yes, but the fact is that it takes a certain personality to ask for a coach's head due to playing time. That same type of personality could also allow things that allegedly happened. I'm not saying that she did/did not do anything wrong, only that it makes it easier to believe if she did.
