I have been very recently diagnosed with a pretty serious heart condition (non operable unfortunately). Recovery of some of the lost function if any may take up to 3-4 years.

 

I know that this is in God's hands and that is why my request isn't for me, but for my wife, my son and my little girl. Please send up prayers for them as they each have their own piece of this to try to deal with.

Dear God, You are our Father, who cares for our every need. You are all good, all knowing, and all compassionate. You have a plan for our lives, a plan to give us a future full of hope.

 

Restore our friend, Bert to health, according to Your will, O God, for he is weak and weary. Only You can make him whole, Lord Jesus. Just as You stretched out Your hand and healed the broken, the needy and the sick, so we ask You to stretch forth Your mighty arm now, and heal this good man. Dear Lord, Bert wants only to serve You more devotedly than ever before.

 

In times of sickness You draw us closer to Yourself, and remind us that You are our closest and dearest friend. This man wants to to be well and strong and filled with Your vitality and Spirit. Bert and his family seek only his return to good health, that he might do Your will for the sake of Your glory.

 

Lord, if for some reason, it is not Your perfect will that he be restored to health at this time, please grant Bert and his family the grace to accept Your will, the humility to receive others' help, and the joy of knowing that they are safe in Your arms, now and for all eternity. To You be all the honor, glory and praise, through Christ our Lord, in union with Our Blessed Mother and all the saints. Amen.
