I wish for Coach Flynn all the best as he heads to South Carolina. He always treated my son well and I have the utmost respect for him. I do believe the Birds need to go young for their new head coach. Hope Dale does his due diligence and just doesn't hire the first person he talks with. It would be nice if some of the fathers of recent past basketball players could help sift thru the applicants and be a quasi selection committee. Spring football practice started today at the Fort, so this will take up a lot of his time. They need to have a basketball coach in place by the end of spring break.

It's my belief that Erik Goetz will apply and will be considered for the job. I don't know much about HC, but when you can't even make it out of your district, it has to be frustrating. Now will be a good time for him to move on, if that's what he chooses to do.
