Imo Bolden is probably the MVP in the 9th Region this year. His superior ballhandling and quickness set him apart from everyone on the floor.

 

I agree with this... In this game in particular, his quickness allowed him to get to loose balls and rebounds that he had no business getting to. And in a five point game, those 50/50 balls can be the difference....

I would agree that it isn't right to point fingers, but as a fan with no dog in the fight (no pun intended), it was obvious that those two didn't have very good games, and that was a big factor in the outcome of the game. It isn't meant to put anyone down, as they had great careers, but it's the simple facts... They just didn't have a good game. That's basketball...

 

I split the difference between saying a couple kids played bad and saying they did not show up....which to me implies they did not give effort............... I believe both young men had fine careers and played as hard as they could.

I have watched both teams play many times this year.It was very clear early in the season who the best team in the region is and the best team won.I know Holmes tripped up late in the season in 2 meaningless games.When the season is on the line they step up.NCC us a close second but NO DOUBT Holmes is the best team to repesent the 9th downsatate.

Agreed but I honestly think Holmes getting this draw is better for them. Forces them to be focused the entire tournament and come ready to play from the get go. I know Coach Booher hates to lose and much rather take away points from a win, but sometimes a loss is better for you, especially late in the season because it points out your flaws when it matters most. He called out Englemon for his play in the Covcath game and Chris responded by pulling down 15 rbs despite being undersized.
