And as far as being closer to a state title at CCH, as long as Highlands is in their district I strongly disagree with you.

 

Nothing but respect for the Bluebirds :notworthy: but Cov. Cath. has six state football championships. Highlands was in their district for every one of them.

Well I do have some good news for Dave Wirth if he is serious about Boone's HC job, Boone contacted me to see if I wanted the job and I turned them down so Dave still has a shot

Doesn't Wirth teach religion? What is he certified to teach? If he teaches religion and nothing else that would seem to eliminate Boone.

LaSalle would be a good move if he's moving. I doubt that the issue is money as the BC school district is scheduled for cutting funds/teachers so I would be surprised there. With Boone, if that is the path, does look more attractive than CCH. At least there is a better opporunity to "at least get to State" then remaining at CCH for the immediate future. Again, anything can happen and maybe next year or the following CCH gets by HHS but I don't see it. I do see Boone having the potential get out of the region and get down WKU sooner than I see CCH beating HHS. Boone has a big pool of players to draw from and with the right coach/system they may be able to get some additional athletes to come out and play that traditionally have not been a fan of "3yrds and a cloud of dust" style they have had forever. JMO.

Could it be the pressure of beating Highlands is just to much from the Cov-Cath faithful...Im sure CCH will be good next year but HHS will be even better from a year ago...could that be a factor?

Not saying that at all....just dont know what the pressure is like from the CCH fan base thats all.

Also let me say that I think Dave has done a great job at CCH...they were the second best team in the state in 4a last year easy and that is not a dig at them. If it werent for HHS he may have 2 state titles. I just dont see why he would leave unless it was money thats all.
