If this news is true, then this will be a sad day for CovCath football imo. Finally get a guy in there that most can get along with and he up and leaves.

I feel especially bad for the kids who have to wondering what the heck is going on here at CovCath and is this whole football thing worth it.

Administrators have to be careful when you have 4 coaches come in go over a 10 yr period.

Dave Wirth is doing a good job in Park Hills right now, maybe not a great job, but hey he is headed in the right direction and people need to take a deep breathe and be thankful for what they have.

 

Heck, I think Dale could take over CovCath next yr and the PHM would be complaining about something.

Dale is the program which makes him stronger than a parent group.

Yeah really!! People are giving "Tiny" and the "Painter" way to much credit on how much pull they have in Park Hills. Now with that said, if someone told me that a certain family that cleans up after "Pigs" were calling for his head, then you have something that holds water. If the faithful in Park Hills says they don't have a Mafia then so be it, but I don't buy it. I do know that the Ft Thomas Mafia is alive and well.

Could it be the pressure of beating Highlands is just to much from the Cov-Cath faithful...Im sure CCH will be good next year but HHS will be even better from a year ago...could that be a factor?

 

For any good coach the pressure/desire/need to win is greater from within oneself than any outside influences. The current coach is if nothing else a very competitve person by nature. He wants very badly to beat Highlands and works hard every day trying to prepare the team to do so. The admin from Covcath is very happy with the current coach, so he in no way feels pressure there for his job.

 

If he is looking elsewhere for a position it could be money, could be ego could be he doesn't think he can consistently beat Highlands... but is not because of some outside pressure being placed on him to beat Highlands or else.

 

He is a good coach perhaps he is "testing" the waters to see how others view his value as a coach. Most people want to be wanted, even if you don't want what they have in return.

The word is Coach Wirth has applied for both the Boone County and LaSalle (OH) jobs.

As someone said earlier I have no problem with him looking. We all do it. Maybe he wants to earn more money. Who is going to fault him for that?

Highlands fans did not start the thread and very few have even commented on it. I can see where the man may be interested in the job at LaSalle as I think that would be a step up, but really do not get the Boone County application.
