I just addressed that in the serious (sorry Chuck) Chuck Smith thread. If he applies and they don't hire him the people doing the hiring should be fired.

Last time I looked at the enrollment numbers, both Boone and Dixie were just above the 6A threshold. Neither of these schools have room for expansion. Cooper and Scott are both scheduled for expansion projects.

That was the trend for Boone when Copper opened, it now appears their numbers will be on a big upswing in the near futeure. For example, this years Sr class of boys is 165 but the Fr class is 245.

Boone will not be 5A unless the KHSAA changes alignment procedures. The numbers that will probably be used in the realignment are already out if the KHSAA holds true to the previous realignment procedures. Nothing will change much in NKY unless some teams around the state have some major enrollment increases. This year Campbell, Dixie and Boone are between 750 and 760 boys. Conner is 647, Cooper is 575 and Scott is 529.

I know off topic but do not forget that Cooper petitioned the KHSAA to move up to 5A and was obviously approved or they would have been in 4A.

Yes they petitioned to be 5A, but they are now truly 5A enrollment.

Boone is not a better job than CovCath to win a state title. Boone is a better job financially and that is about it. Usually parochial school guys stay within the parochial system and when they do venture out, it is a tough transition. IMO, it is easier to coach at parochial schools and the talent pool is unlimited.

Maybe he just wants a raise and is throwing his name out there to see who bites .... you never know.

I think La Salle is now in Division 2 . They no longer have to beat those teams to win a state title. Their biggest challenge will be from Winton Woods and Anderson. A very manageable task for La Salle.
