He also said do you want to trust a University with a history of lying/shady tactics to cover up wrongs from the football program? Looks like that question has been answered. Between the coaching changes of the past decade, the Brian Kelly student video death, the sexual assault story, other off the field incidents and now Manti ... the ND brand has definitely loss some of its luster.

I don't disagree, however, with ND being a top 5 school on the popularity chart and considering that they still have that NBC TV contract, I don't they care about losing some luster. As long as they keep winning, attract their share of big name recruits, and keep that big stadium full on Saturdays, a few controversies won't matter a lot.
