January 26, 201313 yr Tomorrow should be fun. ND plays here at noon. There are rumors Te'o, who's been working out at IMG Academy in Bradenton, may show up, though I doubt it. Why? It appears the student section will be ready regardless. Besides all of the signs, they're supposed to have an empty seat in the front row of the student section with a sign on it, "RESERVED FOR LENNAY KEKUA". I give the blowup doll no more than a minute before it's confiscated. Ah, college students. A keg, some cardboard, some paint, and little controversy and what do you get? Magic.

January 30, 201313 yr Tuiasosopo came out of the closet to Dr. Phil....Manti, it's your turn now. I don't know what to think. I do believe it is possible that Te'o believed this was a woman. If he did, he is very stupid and naive. There were a lot of red flags. But if the show catfish is real, this stuff does happen. Even men pretending to be women. It is very weird though.

Why would he? It would cost him MILLIONS to come out. Right now he's just a moron who contributed to a publicity stunt. He's still a first rounder based on his combine. If he were to be gay, and admit that, there is no way that he is drafted in the top 4 rounds of the draft. I seriously doubt, right or wrong, that any GM or owner will take the chance of putting that kind of tension into their locker room. They don't want to be the guinea pig franchise.

I guess he could file a law suit against the NFL to that affect, but I think they could just as easily put in the tape of the Alabama game and call it good. I do not like Te'o's chances going forward in the NFL. Even if he is picked high, I could see this lingering over him the rest of his life and not being that successful.

I'm not saying that it is right. I am saying that the catch phrase of the moment is "team player." NFL teams want to follow the model of the Patriots in terms of making the locker room as professional as possible. W/ all of those egos, that is a very, very delicate balance. Throw this in there...media members will have a field day getting responses to every question. It will create a circus, and no team not named the Jets wants that. By the way, that "apology" at the end is hilarious. After reading his comments and his tweets, there is no way that he strung together that many big words and made coherent paragraph. Absolutely no way. Whoever SF's PR guy is needs to do a better job of making the apologies believable.

I don't know that his shelf life would be long enough to make up that difference, but you may be right.
