Football Mom
Let's hear from someone that was there!!!!! :thumb:
Palmer
Wasn't there, but heard it went well. Coach Wood spoke about the future a couple of times, is what I was told. Happy to hear he is sticking around. Seems like he is on his way to turning Morgan into a football program. A couple of the basketball players that came out their senior year and one that came out his junior year ended up with awards. If the football team can start getting those athletes every year it can start doing some real damage in the playoffs, in my opinion. Hopefully, the success of these basketball players will open the eyes of some of the athletes at Morgan and they will get into football. Football Mom, was you there? If so, what is your take on the banquet?

Nets
email rlwood@morgan.k12.ky.us Tell him Nets said to hook you up.... It is great that Coach Wood will be around....they seem very optimistic about the upcoming season. Have some questions and voids to fill defensively but with a tough as nails backfield and virtually everyone back at offensive line, they should be able to really click offensively. Majority of "athletes" are back along with their two leading scorers (Young and Montgomery) Look for Sophomore Brandon Ward to play well on both sides of the football, he had some great runs vs. East Carter late in the season as a Freshman. Very strong and lots of speed. Also, the seldom talked about offensive line position will have a very intelligent and fundamentally sound Center in Ryan Buckler...(Another Freshman) undersized last year has really put on the weight and muscle in the off season, maybe bulked up an honest 25 pounds from the end of the season. Clay Adkins, and Charles Gilbert are back as well. I think there is a very strong possiblity of a three peat playoff appearance and depending on how things play out in the next few months, could be a very good football team once again in West Liberty. They will be athletic, strong with plenty of speed. It's also evident that Morgan is fairly young, so they will be around for a while.
