I hope I can do that much faster. I ran the Bluegrass at 2:09 and the Iron Horse at 2:04 I want that sub 2!!!
From what I've heard about those courses I don't think you'll have any trouble finding the 5 minutes in the Derby Half.

I've uped my mileage and hope to lose another 5 lbs. before the Derby.

Derby half has to be the flattest half in the world.

Taking one for the team and slowing my pace to run 21 with my wife and another guy in the morning. Oh well, I'm always up for a 20+ miler. Should keep me fresh to mow or do whatever the rest of the day.

I've never heard if them. What are you thinking about getting from them?

I ordered a custom sports drink from them. Did an 8-miler with some friends this morning using it as my sole nutrition. Felt great...so far, so good. I have a challenging and hilly bike later this afternoon. Anxious to see how it holds up in that as the bike is what prompted the purchase.

I took my dog for our first official "hike" yesterday. The incline is very steep and it showed me how much more in shape I am now than the last time I hiked it in the fall. My poor dog on the other hand...not so much. It's going to take some time to get her back in shape! We plan to hit a different trail today.

11 days of just walking and some running. I was dreading getting back into Insanity. Then my 13-yr-old said, "3 little words. Just do it!" So I did it. And I feel great!

Awesome work!

Still loving it. Not sure the Domino's in between was the greatest move. But had energy throughout both the run and hilly ride.

Today was my off day but I went out and played 18 with the guys and ummmm it was bad. While I've tried to focus on maintaining flexibility while gaining strength, apparently any and all muscle memory I had started to form last season in regards to golf pretty much went out the window. I'm pretty sure most people couldn beat me today by simply lining up their shot and then putting on a blind fold to hit the ball, I was all over the place. Now with that said I am a lot less sore(so far), so maybe focusing on better flexibility wasn't all for nothing.

The CrossFit Games Open closed tonight. I didn't get to do the last workout since we were out of town. There are 2 people from my gym who did make regionals, a male and a female. Pretty pumped about that. The guy made it last year but this will be the girls first. She has come a long way since last year.

Question for our runners. I play 2 hours of basketball and my shins are fine. However, if I run on a treadmill for 10 minutes my shins are burning to the point that I can hardly walk.

Is it my shoes? Form? Combination of both? What am I doing wrong.

My guess is a little of everything but probably more form. Does it do the same thing when you run outside?

What is the incline set on? If it is set at Zero that is the equivalent of running downhill and can put additional stress on your shins. When on treadmill you should at least have the incline set at 1 degree or more. If you already do this I have no idea.

It's not as bad when I'm outside.
