Spent the morning at Commonwealth Orthopedic this morning(I think that's the name) back was sore at work from sitting all day thursday, went home slept, woke up and it hurt even worse but I figured maybe I just slept wrong(dumb move), went to the gym and like an idiot thought I'd do back to hopefully losen it up and work whatever it was out. While doing supine row I felt something pop and had to immediately let go of the bar. So I finished up and thought wow that sucked I'll just take it easy for a while. Well at work last night the pain got so bad that wow walking I literally almost went to my knees with pain. I've either torn a muscle or severely tweaked it. Steroids for a week and hopefully it just heals up. It's extremely sharp shooting pain though and it hurts throughout my entire scapula area when I try to swallow food/drink, the only pain worse than this that I've ever felt was when I tored my ACL. This blows.

Sounds very painful. Follow doctor's orders and heal! Good luck.

Last time I had a problem, Dr. was convinced it was a rotator. MRI revealed inflamed rotator and sever arthritis. Took about 6 mos. of being very careful and building shoulder muscles, before I felt pretty good. One mishap under a barbell and here I am again. Just working through it again.

Bummer. Sounds very frustrating that it happened again. Good luck!

Worst thing is not letting on to clients. One was asking about it and became apprehensive about lifting. Hard to say to them, "you can do it" when you can't lift your arm above your waist. lol

That's certainly not fun. Mine is stupid though, I could lift just fine, full range of motion but that muscle or ligaments hurts like hell. Not hurts to lift or move, just hurts constantly and for whatever weird beyond my comprehension reason it send a sharp shooting pain across my back when I swallow stuff, to the point that I have to actually sit down. Weirdest thing ever, but it may help me shed some extra lbs do to lack of intake.

Looks like you're right on track

Have a sinus infection that has been kicking my butt since Sunday morning. I haven't done squat the last 2 days. Starting to get restless. Luckily this was my 5/3/1 deload week. I've also been having issues with my left shoulder so this gave me a chance to give it rest. Hoping this weeks open workout will be easy on the shoulders as the first 2 were not.

Those are actually some pretty good numbers. If I can get my shoulder heeled up I'm going to concentrate more on shoulder work. It is definitely one of my biggest weaknesses.

Open WOD 13.3 was released last night. It is a repeat of 12.4 from last year.

12min AMRAP

150 Wall Balls

90 Double Unders

30 Muscle Ups

I didn't do the open last year but my gym did this work out last summer. I barely got through the wall balls. I would really like to at least get through the DU's this go around. However I'm still down and out with my sinus infection so not sure when I will attempt this one.

Took about 5 days off to let the back heal, did legs yesterday, tri's and bi's today. So far so good, doc gave me a steroid pack which seems to be helping. Still think I'm going to hold off on any back related stuff for atleast another week, because that was some of the worst pain I've ever dealt with.
