March 26, 201313 yr Myfitnesspal.com is a good website to track your calories. Today was chest day and it was not great but I am slowly getting things back. I was able to get 225 for 15 reps and ended the set with 295 for 1. Had nobody to spot me so I did not go any higher though I know I would have gotten 315 up again at the end of the set like I did a few weeks back.
March 26, 201313 yr Been sticking with it but I used some vacation time this past week and took it easy. Got up and did some arms and 20 minutes of cardio before a job interview I had today. Now I'm just recovering from both. Tomorrow is legs and some jump rope action, my shin splints seem to be going away so just have to stick with it.

March 27, 201313 yr We are on page 43 of Rookie Fitness!! Shout out to TB&G! Miss you. Give us an update. Nobody judges! I'm mixing up my workouts with treadmill, elliptical and bike. I include both weight machines and free weights. I always make sure to include some good stretching at the end. I can't wait until hiking weather gets here, to be able to include that, too! I had started the C25K, but I was too paranoid about reinjuring my knee. Maybe at some point, I'll give it a try again.

If you have shin splints, the last thing that you want to do is jump rope. Just let them heal, get on the bike or rowing machine instead.

March 27, 201313 yr Off day today. worked out 4 days in a row. Still favoring shoulder, can only do light chest and should work. Can hit everything else pretty hard. So I have found my self on a 5 day a week schedule. off wed. and fri. I'm in the beginning stages of putting together a business plan to open a gym. may be a pipe dream, but having fun researching it.
March 27, 201313 yr Here was a good routine I did on Monday. Ascension workout. There are four different exercises. Sumo squat with a kettle bell (raise the weight below your chin like a clean and flare the elbows), pushups, air squat with hands extended, and run from one end of the gym and back. No break switching from one exercise to the next. You keep count as you go along and keep tallying the numbers, the run counts as 5 reps. 10 second sumo, 10 second pushups, 10 second air squat, run. Rest 1 minute. 20 second sumo, 20 second pushup, 20 second air squat, run. Rest 1 minute. etc. until you do the exercises for 1 minute intervals. It was brutal by the end. I think I did 476 reps total.

March 29, 201313 yr Crossfit Open WOD 13.4 7 min AMRAP Ladder of Clean & Jerk and Toes to Bar 3 Clean & Jerks 135lbs 3 Toes to Bar 6 C&J 6 T2B 9 C&J 9 T2B continue adding 3 reps to the previous round until the 7 mins runs out Did this tonight, ended up with only 46 reps. The C&J took more out of me them I expected. The t2b didn't really bother me that much. We're leaving for Florida tomorrow and won't be back until next Sat night. That means I probably won't do the last open WOD. So I guess my open is done. It was fun and really helped me identify so weakness to work on before next year, mainly my shoulder strength.
