In 2011 NKY very well represented on 1st team courier journal all state team. Last year I believe 4 made first team and that does not include 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention.. Just saying... I do believe more kids from NKY should have been on the team this year.

There is one Highlands player in Honorable Mention. Crazy!!!

I saw a kid named Whitaker from Hazard on the HM list. Wasn't there a QB named Whitaker that was pretty good in the early 80s from that area?

That would be Mike Whitaker, played at Leslie Co., Broke State passing record. Played at UK and EKU, broke EKU passing record in 2 years.

Glad to see Josh Gibbs and Tyshawn Embs from Carroll County on the team. Both very deserving.

A I can say is WOW!! What a flippin joke!!! By far the worst All-State Team I have seen yet..

I have lost all hope that any poll that will come out will be an honest opinion of who the best players really are. Most lists I have seen recently are simply a representation of the agenda that the voting group has.

 

It is a shame that in statewidevoting it may be a slap to the N Ky region, or that in a more local polling it may be an opportunity to get back at a particular coach/school.

 

It's supposed to be about the kids.

I guess it's the system these kids play in and the wonderful coaching they get. Has nothing to do with the vast amount of talented kids that work their tails off for these moments.

 

It's not about fans being upset, it's about the kids from this area that got NO recognition for dominating the state, (except for a few teams). We nky fans may go at each other during the season, but the one thing that all us nky fans can rally behind is that this list is an absolute JOKE!...for all our schools!

Funny, how some players are 1st team allstate in one poll and are honorable mention in another. I don't think it's a conspiracy but except for a few players it's really hard to get it perfect.

Maybe northern Kentucky schools should band together and vote each others players they feel that is deserving...problem solved.

Highlands VERY under represented.

 

Bowling Green also under represented or under ranked.

 

Whould have liked to see a cuople more LexCath players in honorable mention.

 

But Birds were slighted badly.
