November 28, 201213 yr Would anyone on here vote for any of those guys? I honestly lean more with side that says they were the best of the era that used... Maybe asterisk their name, but they got to go somewhere IMO.
November 28, 201213 yr Author Bonds and Clemens without a doubt. Sosa no because I never though of him as anything more than a swing for the fences player that accumulated more meaningless homeruns in baseball history. In short, I just never thought of Sosa (or McGwire) as anything more than just power hitters. Bonds and Clemens were multiple MVP and Cy Young winners, respectively, that dominated there era. Maybe the two best players in my lifetime.
November 28, 201213 yr A large mass of the players were juiced up in that era, they were the ones that got caught. I have no issue with them being in the HOF if their careers warrant it.

January 8, 201313 yr I would not vote for any of them first ballot. If that costs them the Hall, so be it. We all know right and wrong and wrong should not be rewarded. I don't care what the rules were in baseball. I don't think any of them get more than 50% this year. Sosa may not get 30%.
January 8, 201313 yr Author The funny part is the guys voting for them not to be in the Hall of Fame are the same group of characters that reveled in their successes as of result of steroids. Now they take the moral high ground.

January 9, 201313 yr I am watching a discussion on ESPN. They (Olney, Kurkjian and 2 others) are saying the only person close appears to be Biggio who is running around 70%. They don't think anyone gets in tomorrow. Bonds and Clemens are projected around 42%. I didn't hear them put a projected number on Sosa.

January 9, 201313 yr Although he doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hades, isn't this Dale Murphy's last (15th) shot with the writers? If so, it will be interesting to see how his votes stack up against the juicers.
