fan4nascar
One of the best coaches I ever played for, great understanding of the game, knew how to teach it to the kids, and was not afraid to hold you accountable. I am deeply saddened to hear this news. JD, any word on the services?

JOHNDUNHOFT
Yes Coach Burns finished his last five years at Highlands with Red Dog, only thing I know is he had a long fight with Parkinsons Decease. If I am not mistaken he also coached at CovCath in his early days. Yes he was a great hitter and could put the ball anywhere he wanted. JD

Great person for sure. After High School I would run into him on the softball field. I remember thinking what is this old dude doing playing softball against 20 year old guys. Then once you saw him play you would understand. He could flat out play the game!
