3 1/2 hours in. Operating room is reporting that "all is going fine".

Thoughts and prayers coming from the BZ family.

Saying special prayers for her full recovery. May God give her renewed health, the strength for her recovery and the grace to patiently wait for God to fulfill His wonderous plans for her.

Praying for this difficult situation.

Surgery is expected to last at least a couple more hours at this point. Every two hours the O.R. has been sending out messages that "everything is going as planned". They haven't been offering any details, but at this point, "everything is going as planned" is good news.

These hours have to feel like days to the parents.

The latest update is that the doctors got to the point where they feel that they have gotten all they can of the tumor and are ready to close. She's currently in a MRI to determine whether or not they are happy with this as a stopping point, or if they will continue to remove anything further - which was the plan. Again, thank you all for your prayers.

Thank you all so much for the prayers. The young lady did wonderful in her surgery, and the surgery went extremely well. The surgeon was able to get most of the tumor out, much more than he normally can with this type of tumor. She is in the ICU and her condition is expected to be upgraded in the morning so she can be moved into a normal recovery unit.
