June 1, 201214 yr I'd like to ask for prayers for the teenaged daughter of a family friend. She's fifteen years old, and just finished her freshman year at Notre Dame Academy. About a week and a half ago she began to experience weakness on the left side of her face, and her parents took her for a MRI at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. The doctors found a brain tumor on the side of her brain near her pituitary gland. Fortunately they believe the tumor is benign, but it is rather large (about the size of a golf ball). She went in for brain surgery this morning at 8:00am. The surgery is expected to take at least 10 hours, and the doctors are unsure whether or not they will be able to remove all of the tumor due to its size and location. Please pray that God guides the surgeons hands and that the surgery goes as well as possible - and that her recovery goes as quickly as it can as well. Thanks.
June 1, 201214 yr Praying for God's will to be done in this young lady's life. May He guide the surgeon and provide for the family in whatever need they have. If it be His will, may the problem be removed quickly and cleanly and may she recover fully. Keep us posted CWB.

June 1, 201214 yr Yowzer! 10 hour surgery? Prayers sent my friend. Thanks for the update and please continue to do so as permitted.
June 1, 201214 yr Praying for a smooth and successful surgery followed by a speedy and complete recovery. I hate when things like this happen to kids.
