July 22, 201412 yr Picked this book up at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and just never got around to reading. Finally did so this weekend. Started it Sunday afternoon, finished it last night. Good read! I love his books. I get through them so quickly but I enjoy them all. I'm about to start The Winner by him next.

Between the books I've read and the ones I have waiting to be read, I think I own just about every one of his books. Definitely one of my two favorite authors. Him and Dan Brown. Probably know coincidence that their writing styles, at least in regards to their short, cliff hanging chapters, are so similar.

Finally found an app that I could scan the ISBN number on the back of the book and create my own library catalogue on my cell phone.

The one I have now is just called "Book Catalogue" (Its developer is Evan Leybourn) The first one that I had, was "My Book Droid". But, they stopped supporting it. Which stunk, because I had my entire library scanned into it. I've still got it on my phone, because I haven't taken the time to go back in and re-scan everything with the new app. Anything new I get, I just scan in with the new one. As to the DVDs...if there's not an app out there, I'd be shocked. I just haven't looked for one for that specific need.

July 23, 201412 yr Author Reading this: Hooded Man: An Omnibus of Post-Apocalyptic Novels: Paul Kane: 9781781081686: Amazon.com: Books About halfway through the first book. Not the greatest thing I've ever read; don't know if I'll read the second and third installments. Well, I slogged through them. One and a half stars out of four. I just hate to buy a book and not see it through.

July 23, 201412 yr Author Daughter gave me the first three books in the "Maze Runner" series by James Dashner. She says it's similar in some respects to the Hunger Games books. Those are next on the list.

July 27, 201412 yr Just started Michael Koryta's new book, Those Who Wish Me Dead. So far, so good. When fourteen-year-old Jace Wilson witnesses a brutal murder, he's plunged into a new life, issued a false identity and hidden in a wilderness skills program for troubled teens. The plan is to get Jace off the grid while police find the two killers. The result is the start of a nightmare. The killers, known as the Blackwell Brothers, are slaughtering anyone who gets in their way in a methodical quest to reach him. Now all that remains between them and the boy are Ethan and Allison Serbin, who run the wilderness survival program; Hannah Faber, who occupies a lonely fire lookout tower; and endless miles of desolate Montana mountains. The clock is ticking, the mountains are burning, and those who wish Jace Wilson dead are no longer far behind. Finished this one earlier in the week. Solid read. In the middle of Ted Dekker's "Outlaw Chronicles" trilogy. Finished the first one, Eyes Wide Open, last night & just started the second installment, Water Walker. Decent.
