May 21, 201412 yr One of the best Christian books I have ever read. I love how Yancey writes. He doesn't answer a lot of questions, but rather asks some really good ones. A friend of mine let me borrow it & I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks for the insight
May 21, 201412 yr A friend of mine let me borrow it & I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks for the insight I read it in college, re-read it a few years back & still refer to it quite often.
May 26, 201412 yr Found this little gem at my library, (in LARGE print): "Trouble in Mind" by Jeffery Deaver. It's his volume III collection of short stories. I figured it's a good one to start out the summer.
June 1, 201412 yr Author Read "Arctic Drift", Clive and Dirk Cussler. Read "Tripwire", an old Reacher novel by Lee Child. Just started "The Pied Piper", Ridley Pearson. First one I've run across by this author, fairly solid so far.
June 2, 201412 yr Author Read "Arctic Drift", Clive and Dirk Cussler. Read "Tripwire", an old Reacher novel by Lee Child. Just started "The Pied Piper", Ridley Pearson. First one I've run across by this author, fairly solid so far. Very good. I'm gonna have to track down a couple more from Pearson. Just started on "Guardian of Lies" by Steve Martini.
June 4, 201412 yr Finally got around to muscling through A Feast for Crows. It was OK in the end, but was just stale compared to the previous three books. I have to think Martin made a commercially successful decision to split the contents of what should have been one book into two. Slugging through A Dance with Dragons now, and just annoyed at would could have been if they were both one book and the filler cut out.
June 4, 201412 yr Author Well, I'm fresh out of crime fiction to read. I may have to start in on "Conservatives Without Conscience" by John Dean. Problem is, it's just so daggone voluminous.
June 4, 201412 yr Finishing Inferno by Dan Browne and getting ready to start "The Dead and Those About to Die" by John McManus. Should be solid read about the D-Day invasion as we approach the June 6 anniversary date
June 5, 201412 yr Just finished The Whole Truth by David Baldacci. He never disappoints. Just finished the second book in the Shaw Series, Deliver Us From Evil by Baldacci. It might have been my favorite book that I've read by him and Shaw is definitely my favorite character.
June 8, 201412 yr Deeply Odd, which is the sixth installment (I think) in the Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz. My favorite book series of them all and there is just one more left.
June 10, 201412 yr I am starting Merciless by Diana Palmer. This will be the fourth book by her I have read.
