June 17, 201412 yr Author Just finished "Blood Memory" by Greg Iles. First of his I've read; it won't be the last. Also read "Dance With the Dragon" by David Hagberg. Not bad, kind of a Robert Ludlum clone.
June 20, 201412 yr Author Read "No Good Deeds", a Tess Monaghan novel by one of my favorites, Laura Lippman. Read "The Loch" by Steve Alten. Meh. Read "The Last Child" by John Hart. One of the best crime fiction stories I've read in a while. Worth seeking out. Goes from pathos to joy in a heartbeat.

June 21, 201412 yr Just started Doctor Sleep by Steven King, the sequel to The Shining. Actual paper book there. Also listing to the Audible download of 11-22-63 while on my walks. That is also by Steven King.

June 25, 201412 yr Author Read "The Glass House" by Jeannette Walls. FASCINATING story of a family growing up in abject poverty, first out west, then in Wells, West Virginia. Way up there on papa's recommended reading list.

June 29, 201412 yr Sounds like a real page-turner. JavaScript sounds like a letter I would read with my morning coffee. JavaScript is the language that makes things happen on a web page. When you click on a button, a link, or a drop-down field, it is what determines what happens in response. At least that is the most common use for JavaScript but its application has expanded beyond scripting web pages. There are now high performance servers and databases that run on JavaScript. Most of the books I read are programming books. Most of the fiction that I "read" is sci-fi in the form of Audible downloads that I listen to on long trips. I also enjoy non-fiction science books by authors like Hawking and Michio Kaku. I spent over $600 in the past year on programming books alone. I prefer learning new skills through self-study over a classroom training. It is a much cheaper way to learn and when you are finished, you have the book for a reference.
