May 9, 201412 yr Just started reading Lead for God'Sake by Todd Gongwer. I have read the first 2 chapters and didnt want to put it down. Great book on leadership not just in business, sports but also family. Fictional based story on KY HS basketball coach and the relationships he has with his players, friends, family, etc.

May 12, 201412 yr Waiting for "The Knife Man" by Wendy Moore to arrive from Amazon. I'd never heard about it, but then I was reading in Paste Magazine where AMC ordered a pilot for a show based on the book and it got me very interested. It's a non-fiction book about John Hunter - a Scottish surgeon who is often cited as the origin of many of the most basic modern surgery practices. He apparently was a major contributor to medical science's treatments of gunshot wounds, venereal diseases, digestion issues, child development, fetal development, and lymphatic system, as well as providing initial theorems on animal origins that provided an early inspiration for Darwin's research and development of the theory of evolution.

May 21, 201412 yr Author Papa, what did you think of the Divergent trilogy or whatever it's called? Liked it for what it is - young adult sci-fi. Think cross between Twilight and the Hunger Games. I give the series 7 or 8 out of 10. Last of the series didn't disappoint like the last in the HG series.

Last of the series didn't disappoint like the last in the HG series. I finished them not long ago. First one was really good. Second one I hated & it took me forever to read because of that. Third one was really good, but not quite as solid as the first one. The way she ended the story was strong IMO & I agree was a much better wrap-up to that series than Mockingjay was to Hunger Games.
