February 1, 201412 yr Just finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. It's a thriller about a married couple with a messed up relationship (to say the least). Loved it, couldn't put it down for 431 of it's 432 pages. But absolutely hated the ending.
February 5, 201412 yr Memories of Ice....Book Three of the Malazan Book of the Fallen Series. Favorite one thus far.
February 11, 201412 yr Grabbed Jeffery Deaver's "The Bodies Left Behind" at the library last night. The book starts out describing a scene where a couple is hearing noises outside of their cabin in the woods. I started reading it while sitting in my car, waiting for my son to finish practice. It's dark outside and very few cars are in the lot. All of a sudden my son knocks on the window. I jumped. He was laughing at me. :lol2:

February 19, 201412 yr Primer on the Texas Law of Oil & Gas - Fifth Edition (Joseph Shade & Ronnie Blackwell) A preview "Fracing and horizontal development enables recovery of vast amounts of oil and gas, which until the dawn of the 21st century were believed to be unrecoverable." I can't wait to get through this one. :puke:
February 19, 201412 yr Just finished The Guerrilla Factory: The Making of Special Forces Officers, The Green Berets. A good read if you are interested in what one goes through to earn the long tab. This guy stopped a fraggin in the desert of an officer by Timothy McVeigh of OK city bombing.

February 19, 201412 yr One thing about Joker: he's always reading the most riveting things. Law school is exactly as fun as it sounds. There's just as much drinking as undergrad, but everyone's really tense and most of the people are kind of awful. As for me, I'm way behind on book reading and my weekly and monthly schedules of periodicals are taking up most of my reading time. The Economist, Discover, Astronomy, Scientific American, Foreign Policy, Harper's, The New York Review of Books and the occasional issue of Esquire.
