First off, I would like to say that I have met Coach Murray and think he is a great person and a dedicated coach. Campbell Co. was very lucky to have him! Unfortunately, this scenario is played out over and over again wherever high school sports are played. It seems that all too often, even in the Northern Ky area, one or more good coaches get forced out with situations similar to this one. What is surprising about this particular situation is the fact that the good people on this board are bringing the truth to light. Too many times this has happened to coaches (which seriously affects their coaching/teaching careers) and no one speaks up. So I for one, am glad to hear the ugly truth come to light!

Very hard fought game with NCC winning 38-30. It was a 4 point game in the 4th quarter.

Crusader fan is correct. The score was 37 to 33 and the basket would have given St. Henry a 39 to 33 lead with a free throw upcoming to possibly extend the lead to 40 to 33 with just over 3 minutes left to play.

The NDA league schedule shows St. Henry teams from both 7th and 8th grade. I don’t know much about the 8th grade team but the 7th grade team has been very successful over the past few years. In fact, I believe that they have a number of girls that play on AAU teams.

The final score was NCC 49 St. Henry 35. Score was 34-30 NCC after 3 quarters. The game was much closer than the final score indicates. St. Henry had to foul twice within the last 1:30 to get subs in the game.

While Henderson County may score a lot of points (someone mentioned over 100 points in the regional semi's and in the 80's in the regional final), my question is do they play very good defense? Giving up 80+ points in the regional final game is somewhat of an indicator that they do not. In any event we will soon find out......

32minutes is absolutely right. I was at the game between Ludlow and Boone. The reason that Ludlow slowed down Behrens not so much a particular game plan, but instead the size of Ludlow's center. Notre Dame does not have that much size and will have trouble stopping Behrens on the inside. Who will win....you never know, but I like Boone to win by 5. Bradley is simply an outstanding point guard, and I believe she will be the difference.

You may be talking about this year only....but last year Assumption High School from the Louisville area was a very good defensive team. They held their first round opponent in the sweet 16 (Wayne Co. I believe) to 18 points for the game. Winning 42 to 18. It is my understanding that it was a record low point total for a team in the sweet 16.

If you are serious about your coaching responsibilities then you must scout opposing teams. If you do not then you will simply not have your players properly prepared. I have heard this saying many times "If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail". Be smart and be prepared. As a coach, you owe it to your players.

CardFan......Not true about that IHM team. They were that good. The only time they ever played Grey Middle was when they were in 7th grade. They played in the St. Henry Lady Crusader Classic Tournament and IHM lead the entire game and won solidly. The game was never close. If Grey was as good as you say, then IHM was better.....
