Now that Santa is off duty....:lol2:

Reading Lee Child's "The Hard Way".

This is the 17th out of 18 Reacher novels for me.

There is one more that I need to track down.

"Running Blind" is the US title; "The Visitor" is the UK title.

Outside Shot by Keith O'Brien

Story of the 2009-2010 season of SCott County basketball. The senior year of Dakota Euton, Chad Jackson and Ge' Lawn Guyn.

I've started on "Five Days In Memorial" and it has been great so far. As someone whose spent the last two Spring Breaks in New Orleans doing service trips, the descriptions of things seem to fit with a lot of the narrative we've heard there (on general things about the city).

The book is about a NOLA hospital and some doctors who were stuck there with patients, no electricity, failed generators, stocks of medicine, and looting in the streets. The doctors had to decide how to allocate resources, whether or not to euthanize the worst patients to end their suffering, and how to apply medical ethics to situations like this that they'd never been trained for.

Got a little bit of cash as part of a Christmas present. Can't wait to blow through it all at Half-Price Books and the booksellers on Amazon.

I just finished "Bleachers" by John Grisham and am just starting "The Noticer Returns" by Andy Andrews.

Currently reading "Twelve Years a Slave" by Solomon Northup. Very interesting so far.

Just finished reading this. Fantastic book!

Reading Iscariot by Tosca Lee right now....Not sure what to think thus far.

8 Attributes of Great Achievers - Cameron C. Taylor

Just finished "Brain Rules" by John Medina. It is awesome- lots of great research and facts about how our noggins work.

Not sure what to think thus far.

I read it & I still don't know what to think about it. :lol2:

It's thoroughly got me perplexed. Like I understand what's going on, but is that really the way people acted back then? The sexism and elitism is astonishing to me. Also, what's up with them talking so much of Judas' bowel movements? I mean seriously? :lol2:

On the sexism...women had about the same status as dogs in that culture. That's why when he talked to the woman at the well, people were astonished.

I'm not recalling much in terms of bowel movements. :lol2:

I was talking more about her treatment of Judas himself. He's always pictured, understandably, as a villain. But she painted him in a much different light.
