October 10, 201312 yr ^ This had a dark, creepy feel about it. Plot focuses on a reclusive horror film director whose daughter has committed suicide. A reporter who had been previously been burned investigating said film director, takes up a second investigation of him since this isn't the first time someone in the director's family has mysteriously died. I thought it was creatively written & would recommend it. It's not a classic horror like the list you linked, but it's a fitting read for this time of year. I read some horror, but like you, I enjoy a scary read this time of year. Hope you enjoy whatever you choose.
