Central Hardin returns QB Chase Elmore who sustained a season ending injury in the CAL game this year but currently healthy and playing basketball for Central Hardin. Additional key returners are RB/DB Gavin George, and RB/DB Deonco Wilkerson. This schedule should allow them to post an 8-9 win season with the district coming down to Central and North Hardin again. The incoming freshman group from East Hardin that won the middle school region championship this year along with some key pieces from West Hardin, as well as the even more talented incoming East Hardin 8th grade team will set Central Hardin up nicely for a run starting in 2 years. Good to see Elizabethtown on the schedule, these 2 rivals have not played since 2012. Should be a great atmosphere at Etown for this one.

Just announced all- area players representing Central Hardin are;senior lineman Zach Jones, first-team on both sides of the ball, while junior Deonco Wilkerson and senior Josh Volentine made the first-team defense and second-team offense. Junior wideout Gavin George, senior offensive lineman Chase Conner, junior kicker Evan Jones and junior punter Xander Allen were first-team selections. Senior Noah Page made the second team on both sides of the ball, while junior Shaun Hay was a second-team defensive lineman.

District 2 will come down to the North Hardin vs Central Hardin matchup. North is big up front on both sides of the ball and had speed at the skill positions. Central Hardin must rely on the big 3 to stay healthy to have a chance in this game (DB/QB Chase Elmore, DB/RB Deonco Wilkerson, and DB/RB Gavin George). Central Hardin should be bigger and more physical up front and have more speed than in recent years with additions such as DB/WR Terry Brooks. I see Central Hardin winning vs Daviess County, John Hardin, Apollo, Elizabethtown, Barren County, Meade County and losing to Henry Clay, Butler, and South Oldham with the North Hardin/Central Hardin

game up for grabs.
