Colonels_Wear_Blue
Today at the state swim meet in Louisville, Christian Academy Louisville senior swimmer and UofL commit Nick Albiero set a new state record in 100-butterfly with a time of 46.77 Albiero did so by besting a twenty year old state record set on 02/21/1997 at the state meet by Cov Cath's Nate Dusing, who completed the race with a time of 47.10 - which was also a new national high school record at the time. The current high school record - 45.52 - is held by Joseph Schooling out of The Bolles School, a Florida prep school. The record was set in November of 2013. Congratulations to Nick!! Getslow
I think his Dad is the UL swim coach---may be wrong. Albiero is definitely the coach's name, but I don't know the relation.
jahearme
It was cool to see everyone, including swimmers from other teams give him a much deserved round of applause when he got out of the water.

hoops5
Awesome! Congrats! If you are in the swimming world, that is a whole lot pool time to get to the place where you break state records.
