The Bluebirds have earned the benefit of the doubt. I have been a Cov. Cath. supporter for a long time but would not rate them ahead of Highlands until they knock them off.

This is no doubt accurate. The old coach's sons were excellent players for the Colonels, as well.

Congratulations. That is great news for Coach Listerman and for the Bulldogs. Coach L. performed exemplary service in the classroom, the community and on the court for Cov. Cath. I am a big supporter of his but recognize it was probably best for all concerned when he moved on from Park Hills. I wish him nothing but success (except, of course, when the Bulldogs play the Colonels).

Careful, that kind of thoughtful, balanced and reasonable insight may get you run off the Board.

With only a few exceptions, the football games have been hard to sit through over the past several years. With only a few exceptions, the basketball games have been much more competitive.

Highlands... (I have no data what-so-ever but always predict Highlands football and Holmes basketball will win out.) (Not wrong very often.)

I wasn't really serious about Nick being a candidate to play for Kentucky. To the issue in general, if he is not bound to Findlay by NCAA rules and a better opportunity presented itself closer to home, I say go for it. "It's not personal. It's strictly business."

Guilty as charged ….but, hey man, we have been waiting for a long time.

Undersized point guard from northern Kentucky….commits to play at one school, plays lights out at the state tournament and then gets recruited to play for another. It worked out pretty well for Dickie and for the CATS. Could history repeat itself??

Can I be Howard Beale?

Selecting a Region champion with conditions as similar to Rupp as possible (shooting background, longer court, large crowd, etc.) is an advantage. Cov. Cath., Holmes, Holy Cross and Beechwood also played 35th District games in the BOK Arena.

A shout out to Newport Catholic and Holmes as well. Two excellent teams who would have well represented the 9th if the ball had taken a different bounce or two in the Regionals. :thumb:
