Has playing the 9th Region tournament in the Bank of Kentucky Center helped 9th region teams once they get to Rupp?

It certainly doesn't hurt. As FreeAgent said, the experience in an arena type setting with regards to the depth perception is good. The other thing, too, is the fact that their court is bigger than traditional high school courts.

Selecting a Region champion with conditions as similar to Rupp as possible (shooting background, longer court, large crowd, etc.) is an advantage. Cov. Cath., Holmes, Holy Cross and Beechwood also played 35th District games in the BOK Arena.

Besides the:

1st (Murray St.),

4th (Western Kentucky University),

6th (Bellarmine),

7th (Bellarmine),

11th (EKU),

13th (Arena @ Corbin),

15th (Pikeville Center), and

16th (Morehead State)

***Varies according to year over the past 5 or so years.

But yes, aside from those, it's "only" the 9th.
