He did apply for a job to the South of Harrison Co. at a smaller school, but did not get hired at that school. Word is that school is getting ready to hire someone that has been out of coaching for a while. I know they some really talented kids returning from 07 to 08 but I think most graduated this year. What do they have for the 09 season???

I was very impressed with Dempsey at the Border Bowl on defense but I think his best postion would be offense. He lacks the explosive play, to be a D-1 D-lineman. I think he could play in time but that is most likely the reason colleges are shying away considering his lack of size. I though he played 110% on every play in the games I saw him in. I wish him luck in the future with what ever he chooses.

From what I saw from MCC they have a long way to go to compete. KC will be solid so don't count them out. They have good returners on the OL and 2 RB's coming back as well.

Rock did not miss much of a beat last year with 1st coach Parkey, who IMO did a good job. I know they did lose a good group of Seniors including their do everything RB/LB. I look for them to be soild just like the past couple of years. I think them and KC will battle again for the 2nd place in the district with Rock probably being the favorite based of graduation from both teams. They will return a good group of lineman.

Fisk had some interesting circumstances too coming in to the game??? Any HHS fans care to share. It was a wonderful game. Bell probally had 1 of their least talented teams in the 90's that year but they just kept finding a way to win until the end. If I recall right didn't a young pair of J-Lo and Smith play Tight Ends for the Birds that game? What was the QB's name? Everything considered I think both sides have lots of respect for each other. It is the stories that keep it very interesting on here.

Don't know about the chain gang never heard that one, I would imagine that would be pretty hard to communicate anyway. I do however remember a CB for HHS standing on the Bell sideline next to Dudley listing to the play then calling it out to his teammates. Some of the players were the dueling RB's Fisk for HHS and Chaney for Bell.

John is a good person and done a great service to our Country. He also did a pretty good job coaching. As far as I know he is still at UK???

Clay is the 2nd best team in IMO. BUT SL as we all seen last night is very dangerous when it counts.

Pineville is too high. Had a good win against M'boro but what else to deserve #5? They have a nice record but look at the teams. Have decent wins in Woodford and split with Harlan Co. The rest of the wins are not impressive. I agree with everything else.

Simply you must get your best 11 on the field. In an ideal situation I would never want OL/DL playing both ways b/c they have to/need to play full speed on every play. I would also perfer RB's and LB'ers to be 1-way players only b/c of the punishment to their bodies they take. But sometimes you have no choice and must do what is best for the team/individual player. I think the first 3 or 4 games are times to develop depth while it is still hot after that you can settle in on playing the top players. I think 1 of the many reasons Bell Co. has been very sucessful over the past few years is b/c Coach Hilton has a D-line coach and a O-line coach that work with that postion for the entire practice time. Just a few Lineman practice both ways. The means lots of individual time for kids especially younger kids.
