Couldn't be prouder of the Flyers tonight. This will do so much for this team. A win over a good 5A school as the first win and a homecoming win. The kids have to be excited about that. Jeremy Gardner keep being a leader.

Frankfort has FM radio for one of the 3 local teams every Friday. The State-Journal does a cover story on something interesting about one of the local teams every Thursday as well as blurbs for the local games the next day. If it is a inner-city game they typically write a huge cover story on it. Cable 10, local cable provider, does a fantastic play-by-play broadcast, which is shown numerous times throughout the next week.

Just heard he quit, no details just that he quit again today. This is a huge loss for the Flyers.

Can you blame the FC faithful? I mean last week the boys had to pile up in tailgates of trucks because no bus was ordered. He is not only doing a terrible of coaching so far, but he isn't teaching the boys much about becoming a man. Preparation and organization are two huge lessons that these kids need to learn and he has showed nothing. He cancelled June practice because he was looking for a house in Frankfort. If he wasn't ready for the job he should not have taken it. The Flyers could be on their way to a winless season after Ledford and Walker's staffs had put the program back on the map.

I look for LCA to win this game. Paul Rains has the Eagles rolling on all cylinders right now. Witt and Hayden will take over this game.

Until Stepp figures out what he is doing the Flyers will continue to struggle. I think this game will be closer than expected with it being Homecoming for the Flyers. I really hope the Flyers take a step forward this week as it has to be tough on the kids who have grown up with watching the program like Gardner, Goins, Hicks, Watkins, Burrell and Thompson. Good thing the Flyers aren't traveling this week though because they might have to ride in the back of trucks again so they can focus this week before the game instead of having to worry about safety issues.

I completely agree with you TruB, Stepp has no idea what he is doing. On a another note with the leadership, the Flyers did not ride buses down to Bellepoint because no bus order was put in. Several truck tailgates full of players pulled in at numerous times. This is a safety hazard for sure. How are the kids supposed to get focused riding across town in a tailgate. FC fans are calling this the worst hire in their athletic history.

Lucas Witt and Dominque Hayden (LCA) should be at least mentioned.

My analysis from the game: 1) Frankfort High outplayed Franklin County in 2 of 3 phases of the game. FHS scored two special team touchdowns off of blocked punts, you'd think Frank Beamer was coaching them tonight. 2) FHS won the battle of field position 3) Stepp has no clue what he is doing. He cannot decide if he wants to run the flex motion or the spread. Stick with something and stay with it. In my opinion, this is the worst hire of all-time in FC athletics. He calls the same play time after time. After the game he just waved his players to the locker room without saying anything. 4) The pass interference call with around 2 minutes to go was a terrible call and the referees were talking back to FC fans. 5) Coach Foley and Coach Smith had the FHS boys ready and they deserved to win the game. 6.) Hats off to Jeremy Gardner, Kris Long and Wesley Watkins for battling through sickness and injuries. You three along with Goins are the leaders of the FC squad. 7.) The atmosphere seemed a bit down this year. 8.) Stepp needs to get the Timmons kid the ball more.

I don't hear FC players whining about the game anymore. I do hear an awful lot about FHS players crying about the past two years and how FC didn't deserve to win. FC has owned the series since it was renewed and I cannot wait to see it continue this Friday at 730. Its going to be a great high school football game with a great atmosphere.

Franklin County and Marshall County get in the win column this week.

They lost the first year it was renewed and then what? Frankfort High has not beaten the Flyers since.

FHS's offensive line struggled mightily against WHHS. Look for FC's d-line to make a difference in this game. Wesley Watkins and Company will not let the Panthers take this one from them. Go Flyers.... I cannot wait til kickoff Friday.

This was said last year as well. I am an avid FC fan and I am sick of hearing about FHS naming the score year and an year out when the Flyers have owned the series since it was renewed.

This is not true. The Flyers start freshman, but not 9 of 11 players.

I am hoping the Flyers continue to improve this week. A win here could do wonders for the Flyers season as it would give the younger players so much more confidence. This is the biggest game of the season thus far for the Flyers. The Flyers have to win the battle up front and just play harder than FHS. I am excited to see the outcome of this one. I am taking the Flyers by a touchdown.

A bit suprised by how close this was, but anything can happen in cross-town rivals. FHS has another emotional week as they host another cross-town rival Franklin County.

Teegarden must have his troops ready to play. Two wins in 3 games is a first in school history.
